Featherweight standouts Rustam Khabilov (22-3) and Kajan Johnson (22-12-1) are set to clash at UFC Fight Night 127 in March. UFC officials recently announced the booking.
UFC Fight Night 127 will take place March 17 at The O2 Arena in London. A main event for the card has not yet been determined.
Khabilov is currently riding a five-fight winning streak, most recently earning a unanimous decision over Desmond Green at UFC Fight Night 115 this past September. Prior to that the 31-year-old Jackson’s MMA product peeled off a series of decision wins against Jason Saggo, Leandro Silva, Chris Wade and Norman Parke, all in 2016.
Khabilov is now 8-2 inside the octagon and also holds victories over the likes of Jorge Masvidal, Yancy Medeiros and Vinc Pichel at lightweight. He has finished four of his 22 victories by knockout and five by submission.
Johnson is riding a three-fight winning streak since dropping his octagon debut to Tae Hyun Bang in June 2014. The 33-year-old “Ragin” Canadian most recently knocked out Adriano Martins at UFC 215 last September, and scored decisions over Noayuki Kotani and Zhang Lipeng prior to that.
Johnson is a former XMMA lightweight champion and has been fighting professionally since 2002. The BJJ brown belt has finished 11 of his 22 career wins via submission and five by knockout.
