Paulo Miyao, Marcus Almeida, Romulo Barral, And A Host Of Top Fighters Set To Lock Horns At Stacked ACB JJ 10 Card

Absolute Championship Berkut Jiu-Jitsu (ACB JJ) 10 is gearing up to be one of the most stacked cards the grappling world has to offer.

And when we say “stacked” we mean it would take ten or twenty pages to write up all of the fighters on the card and mention all of their accomplishments.

Here’s a glimpse of some of the top names set to fight at ACB JJ 10:

Marcus Almedia “Buchecha” — a man who is arguably the greatest active grappler on the mats today — will be taking on Mahamed Aly. Buchecha’s achievements in competitive Brazilian jiu-jitsu are too numerous for one article, but Mahamed Aly is certainly not to be overlooked. After all, he’s no stranger to the IBJJF podium.

Also on the card is Gracie Barra Northridge owner, Romulo Barral. Barral is not only famous in his own right — being an ADCC and IBJJF Champion — but he has produced or helped produce such top-ranking grapplers as Felipe Pena and Edwin Najmi. Top grapplers — and even former UFC champions such as Rafael dos Anjos — visit his gym so they can train with the best of the best.

Barral will be making his debut at ACB JJ and taking on Arnaldo Maidana, a man who has won multiple championships at multiple big name competitions.

The co-main event pits two of the most talented 65kg fighters against each other. Paulo Miyao, one half of the world-famous Miyao brothers, will be taking on UFC Bantamweight and IBJJF Champion Augusto Mendes.

This won’t be the first time Miyao and Mendes have met on the mats, either. The two went toe-to-toe at ACB JJ 6. Miyao won via points, but this will no doubt make Mendes thirstier than ever for a victory.

Then, of course, comes the main event, and this match will be huge…in two senses of the word.  Luiz Panza will be taking on Joao Rocha in an over 95 kg match for the division’s championship.

ACB JJ 10 will also feature the promotion’s new format. Rather than the grand prix style it used in the past, ACB JJ will now use a single match format, much like the UFC uses.
