Inaugural Combat Jiu-Jitsu Worlds Slated For November 12

The inaugural Combat Jiu-Jitsu Worlds is slated for November 12.

Combat Jiu-Jitsu founder Eddie Bravo announced the news on his Instagram just hours ago.

The event will feature a main event between multiple-weight-class EBI Champion Garry Tonon and EBI CJJ Bantamweight Champion Nick Honstein. Vagner Rocha, Diego Brandao, and Cole Miller will also be on the card.

For those unfamiliar with combat jiu-jitsu, it’s essentially no-gi BJJ that allows palm strikes  — i.e., open-handed strikes — to the face and body of a downed opponent. Bravo once explained that he invented this style of BJJ in order to keep jiu-jitsu true.

The Combat Jiu-Jitsu Worlds is scheduled to go down in Lost Angeles and will be available on pay-per-view via UFC Fight Pass.
