Multiple media outlets have reported that the UFC has added a bantamweight contest to the upcoming TUF 24 Finale event. Rob Font will return to action against Alejandro Pérez at the event, which takes place Dec. 3 at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas.
Font made his return to the UFC earlier this year and scored a second-round knockout over Joey Gomez. Prior to that, he had been out of action for nearly two years. In his second bout this year, he dropped a decision against bantamweight contender John Lineker. The defeat dropped his professional record to 12-2 and stopped an 11-fight winning streak that dates back to 2012.
Pérez won the first season of “The Ultimate Fighter: Latin America.” In the finale bout, he took a unanimous decision over José Quiñonez. Since then, he has gone 2-1-1 with victories over former WEC title challenger Scott Jorgensen and Ian Entwistle. In his last fight, Pérez fought to a draw with Albert Morales after Pérez lost a point due to striking after the bell.
In the main event of the TUF 24 Finale, flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson will defend his title against the winner of the reality show. Also on the card, the season’s coaches Joseph Benavidez and Henry Cejudo will fight.
